Come learn about a training program that teaches the interpersonal skills of how to get and keep a job to people with autism and other challenges! This 90 minute informational session will introduce you to the Oakland University Center for Autism Outreach Service (OUCARES). The mission of OUCARES is to improve the quality of life of individuals impacted by Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASDs) by offering quality and comprehensive programs across the lifespan. Presenters will provide basic information on the variety of programs available to those families impacted by autism while placing an emphasis on the Pre-Employment Skills Training for adults ages 18 and older.  The Pre-Employment Skills Training is designed to assist adults high on the spectrum by providing them training in the “Soft” interpersonal skills necessary to obtain and maintain employment.  Scholarship information will also be provided.
