In this workshop we will engage in writing effective letters to promote civic action. The timing of this workshop is designed to encourage public comment on the Underground Injection Permit for a well near Leonard and Dequindre Roads before the October 19th deadline. You will leave the workshop with a completed letter as well as a template and tips for future letters. Bring a laptop computer and/or materials for writing.
Workshop leader Rebecca Manery is a published writer and local resident. Dr. Manery holds a Ph.D. in English and Education from the University of Michigan and has taught writing at the University of Michigan, Ball State University and Northeastern Illinois University.
